Nigerian stars Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi have emerged champions of the 2025 2026 Portuguese league season with FC Porto after a decisive victory secured the title.
Porto sealed the championship with a narrow 1 0 win over FC Alverca at the iconic Estádio do Dragão. The result gave them an unassailable lead at the top of the table, confirming their dominance in the league.
Under the guidance of coach Francesco Farioli, the Dragons wrapped up the title with two matches to spare, highlighting their consistency and strength throughout the campaign.
This victory marks Porto’s 31st league title, reinforcing their position as one of Portugal’s most successful football clubs. They remain second in the all time rankings behind rivals SL Benfica.
For Sanusi, the triumph represents his second league title with Porto, further elishing his role in the team’s success. Meanwhile, Moffi celebrates his first major trophy with the club after joining on loan from OGC Nice in January.
The achievement is a significant milestone for both players and highlights the growing impact of Nigerian footballers on the European stage.
