Nigerian singer Chike has stirred reactions on social media after sharing a cryptic message amid ongoing rumors linking him to an alleged affair with Sandra Edoho, the estranged wife of media personality Frank Edoho.
Speculation surrounding the singer intensified after Frank Edoho previously revealed that he discovered his former wife was involved with a musician during their marriage, although he did not publicly mention any name.
The controversy gained more attention after social media critic Verydarkman released a video discussing the allegations and warning that the scandal could negatively affect Chike’s career and public image.
According to Verydarkman, a large portion of Chike’s earnings reportedly comes from performing at weddings and private events. He argued that many married men might now feel uncomfortable hiring the singer due to fears connected to the allegations circulating online.
Amid the growing discussions, Chike posted a brief but emotional message on Sunday night that read, “Pity my soul!” The statement immediately triggered mixed reactions online, with many fans interpreting it as a response to the criticism and accusations directed at him.
Although the singer did not clarify the meaning of the post or directly address the rumors, supporters suggested that he was expressing frustration over being judged based on unconfirmed allegations.
Meanwhile, Chike recently made a public appearance at a cinema event in Lagos where he was seen signing autographs and taking photos with excited female fans. Videos from the outing showed supporters singing along to his hit song Running To You while cheering him on despite the ongoing controversy.
