APC Anambra Assures Members of Free Transparent and Inclusive Congresses

The All Progressives Congress APC in Anambra State has reaffirmed its commitment to conducting free transparent and inclusive ward and local government congresses across the state. The assurance was given by the Chairman of the Harmonisation Committee for the congresses Senator Uche Ekwunife in a statement issued in Awka and made available to journalists on Tuesday.

The statement which was signed by her Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Tony Ezike emphasized that the committee would not tolerate any attempt to impose individuals or groups as party executives. According to Ekwunife the process would strictly follow the provisions of the APC constitution and uphold democratic principles.

She stressed that credibility transparency inclusiveness and fairness would serve as the guiding principles throughout the exercise. Describing the congresses as a vital democratic process Ekwunife noted that the committee’s mandate clearly guarantees equal treatment for all party members regardless of status or affiliation.

Ekwunife stated that the party leadership has given the committee a clear directive to ensure that every eligible member has the opportunity to vote and be voted for. She explained that only a transparent and open process can produce executives capable of meeting the political expectations of the party and strengthening its structure in Anambra State.

She further noted that the growth ility and unity of the APC in the state depend on orderly engagement respect for party organs and strict adherence to due process. The committee she said is determined to restore confidence among members through a credible harmonisation process.

Ekwunife urged party stakeholders to refrain from making inflammatory statements and allow internal party mechanisms to function effectively. She added that the committee remains resolute in its mission to deepen internal democracy strengthen party cohesion and position the APC for future political success in Anambra State.
