In a move to reshape Nigeria’s political landscape, the National Conscience Party (NCP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have announced a strategic alliance aimed at confronting the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu.

During a joint press conference held Monday, key figures from both parties, including NCP Lagos Chairman Chief Fatai Ibu-Owo and ADC National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola voiced deep concern over the country’s deteriorating conditions under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The coalition painted a grim picture of Nigeria’s economic state, citing runaway inflation, rising poverty, and the crippling impact of fuel subsidy removal. They argued that the cost of living has become unbearable for the average citizen, describing the nation’s condition as “a bleeding heart in need of healing.”

Security was another focal point, with the alliance condemning the surge in kidnappings, rural violence, and the erosion of civil freedoms. They accused the APC government of failing to protect lives and undermining democratic institutions through intimidation and suppression of dissent.

Calling for a grassroots awakening, the ADC–NCP coalition urged Nigerians to engage in civic organizing and support independent journalism. They emphasized that their partnership is not just about political ambition but about restoring hope and accountability.

With eyes set on the 2027 elections, the alliance declared its intention to lead a movement for democratic renewal. Their message to the ruling party was clear: “Prepare for ce, your time is running out.”
