The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s only viable presidential option ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence in his leadership and performance since assuming office.

The declaration was made on Monday by the state APC Chairman, Barrister Idris Shuabu, while speaking to journalists during a ceremony to receive a new governorship aspirant, Engr. Diaulhaq Abubakar, into the party in Adamawa State.

Shuabu said the APC remains firmly committed to retaining power at the federal level, stressing that President Tinubu’s achievements so far leave no room for alternative considerations within the party. According to him, Tinubu has demonstrated the experience, courage, and capacity required to steer the country through complex political and economic challenges.

He cited several initiatives of the Tinubu administration as evidence of purposeful leadership, including the introduction of the students’ loan scheme to improve access to higher education, the elishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development to address long-standing challenges in the agricultural sector, and ongoing efforts to tackle insecurity across the country.

“These achievements show that Mr President understands governance and has the political will to take tough but necessary decisions. Nigerians should not look beyond President Tinubu in 2027,” Shuabu said.

The APC chairman expressed optimism that the party would record victory at the federal level in the next general elections, noting that Tinubu’s policies are gradually yielding results and strengthening public confidence in the administration.

He also welcomed Engr. Diaulhaq Abubakar to the party, describing his entry as a boost to the APC’s fortunes in Adamawa State. Shuabu said the party remains open to credible aspirants who share its vision of good governance and development.

The event highlighted the party’s growing internal alignment ahead of the 2027 polls and its resolve to consolidate power at both state and national levels.
