Donald Trump has revealed that Chinese President Xi Jinping offered China’s assistance in keeping the strategically important Strait of Hormuz open amid growing tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
Speaking during an interview on Fox News’ Hannity program on Thursday, Trump said Xi assured him that China would not provide military equipment to Iran during the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel. According to Trump, the Chinese leader strongly emphasized that Beijing had no intention of supplying military support to Tehran.
Trump disclosed that the conversation took place after a meeting between both leaders in Beijing, where discussions reportedly focused on regional ility, global trade routes, and the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
