Truecaller, the leading global platform for safe and trusted communication, has officially surpassed 500 million users worldwide, highlighting the increasing demand for protection against spam, scams, and unwanted communication. The milestone was achieved after the platform added over 50 million users in 2025, with more than 150 million users located outside India.

The company also recently crossed four million paying subscribers, strengthening one of its major revenue streams. Truecaller’s growth reflects a global need for trust in digital communication, with millions relying on the platform daily to verify identities, avoid fraud, and make informed decisions about interactions.

Rishit Jhunjhunwala, CEO of Truecaller, described the milestone as a reflection of the critical role of trust in modern communication. “Reaching 500 million users shows the scale of the need, and the trust people place in Truecaller to help make communication safer,” he said. He also announced the company’s sights are set on the next milestone of one billion users.

Today, Truecaller has evolved beyond Caller ID, functioning as a daily-use digital utility that helps users identify unknown callers, prevent fraud, and ensure safer messaging. Despite serving over half a billion users, the company operates with a lean team of approximately 470 employees.

The platform will continue to provide quarterly updates on its daily and monthly active users, reinforcing its commitment to transparency and user safety. Truecaller’s growth underlines its role as an essential trust layer in global digital communication.
