Tottenham Face Fan Backlash Over Edited Meeting Minutes

Tottenham Hotspur are facing mounting criticism from the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust over allegations that the club selectively edited minutes from a fans meeting held on February 3, shortly before manager Thomas Frank was dismissed.

According to BBC Sport, the Trust claims that the published summary omitted key concerns raised by supporters, including fears about the team’s proximity to the relegation zone and the sense that optimism following their Europa League triumph had quickly faded.

THST also alleged that a line stating the board “welcomed the input of THST” was removed from the final version of the minutes. The group argued that publishing a full and accurate record of discussions is essential for transparency and accountability.

“Publishing a full record of the points raised helps ensure accountability and allows members and the wider fan base to understand how the Trust is fulfilling its role on their behalf,” the Trust said in a statement.

Tottenham declined to comment publicly on the claims. However, sources told BBC Sport that the minutes were intended as a broad summary of discussions rather than a verbatim transcript. While topics such as youth player development, club finances and maintaining the club’s traditional style of play were included, THST maintains that important nuances were excluded.

The controversy comes at a tense time for Spurs, who currently sit 16th in the Premier League, just five points above the relegation zone. The club has since appointed Igor Tudor as interim head coach until the end of the season.

With results on the pitch under scrutiny and relations with supporters strained, pressure is growing on the club’s leadership to restore trust both on and off the field.
