President Bola Tinubu is set to promote Nigeria’s economic reforms and investment opportunities at the Africa CEO Forum 2026 in Kigali, Rwanda, as part of efforts to position the country as a leading destination for global and continental investors.

The announcement was made by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, who described the Kigali event as one of the administration’s most important investor engagement platforms since Tinubu assumed office.

According to Dare, the president’s message to investors is clear that Nigeria remains one of the world’s most profitable investment destinations with strong potential for high returns and large scale business growth.

He explained that Nigeria’s huge population, growing consumer market, and ongoing economic reforms continue to create enormous opportunities for local and international businesses. Dare pointed to companies such as MTN Nigeria and MultiChoice as examples of firms that achieved massive commercial success after entering the Nigerian market.

Dare noted that MTN Nigeria has grown into one of the country’s most valuable companies, generating trillions of naira annually through subscriber growth and expanding market demand. He added that MultiChoice also built one of its strongest operations in Nigeria because of urban expansion and rising consumer spending.

The presidential aide admitted that Nigeria still faces economic and structural challenges but insisted that the country possesses one of Africa’s most entrepreneurial populations and one of the deepest consumer markets in the world.

He said the Tinubu administration is implementing major reforms including fuel subsidy removal, exce rate liberalisation, tax modernisation, power sector restructuring, infrastructure concessions, gas commercialisation, and expansion of the digital economy.

According to Dare, the Africa CEO Forum will gather more than 2,000 business executives, investors, policymakers, and financial leaders to discuss Africa’s economic future and investment opportunities.

He stressed that Nigeria intends to remain central to those discussions by showcasing its reform agenda and long term economic vision. Dare added that despite temporary economic challenges linked to reforms, many global investors understand that periods of transition often create major investment opportunities.
