Tense trilateral talks between the United States, Russia and Ukraine have concluded without a breakthrough peace agreement, but officials confirmed that further negotiations are planned. The discussions, held amid ongoing fighting and diplomatic pressure, focused on possible frameworks for ending the nearly four year war, including ceasefire conditions, security guarantees and the future of disputed territories.

Ukrainian officials said the talks helped clarify positions but stressed that major gaps remain, particularly over territorial control and long term security arrangements. Russian representatives reiterated their demands regarding eastern Ukraine, while US officials described the talks as a necessary step to keep diplomatic channels open despite the lack of immediate results.

All three sides agreed to continue discussions in the coming weeks, with mediators emphasizing that sustained dialogue is essential to preventing further escalation. The talks took place against a backdrop of continued military strikes and humanitarian strain, underscoring the difficulty of reaching a negotiated settlement.
