MoMo PSB Partners with SMEDAN to Empower Nigerian SMEs with Digital Financial Tools

MoMo PSB, the fintech arm of MTN Nigeria, has entered a strategic partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) to provide digital and financial tools designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises operate more efficiently and scale sustainably.

The agreement formalised in Lagos on Wednesday allows registered SMEs to leverage MoMo PSB’s apps point-of-sale systems USSD channels and partner portals to manage payments payroll tills and multiple outlets from a single platform. The collaboration also offers access to MTN’s broader network and capacity-building initiatives aimed at making Nigeria’s fragmented SME sector more efficient and scalable.

Executive Director of Strategy and Innovation at MoMo PSB Usoro Usoro said the partnership reflects a commitment to helping SMEs unlock new growth opportunities. “Through the MoMo PSB Business App we’re making it easier for entrepreneurs to manage payments increase revenue and focus on growing their businesses profitably,” he said.

The Director-General and CEO of SMEDAN Charles Odii highlighted the goal of removing operational friction and ensuring financial support reaches SMEs in a simple transparent and impactful manner. By combining SMEDAN’s extensive SME network with MoMo PSB’s digital financial infrastructure the partnership is expected to deliver meaningful impact across Nigeria’s SME ecosystem.

MoMo PSB noted that its solutions are available to SMEs beyond the SMEDAN network enabling broader access to tools for operational efficiency business growth and improved cash flow. The fintech company reaffirmed its commitment to bridging the financial gap in Nigeria through strategic partnerships and innovative collaboration.
