MEA Energy Limited has officially entered Nigeria’s downstream petroleum retail market with the opening of its first filling station in Bwari, Abuja. The company unveiled a five-year expansion plan aiming to elish 250 stations across the country and create up to 3,000 direct and indirect jobs.

The rollout, which will be executed in phases, seeks to boost employment, support local economies, and strengthen national energy security. Host communities are expected to benefit from roles across operations, logistics, and allied services.

Speaking at the launch, MEA Energy CEO Chinenye Atanda described the initiative as a long-term investment in Nigeria’s energy and economic future. “At MEA, this station is not just about selling fuel—it is about building trust in our operations, safety standards, and professionalism,” she said. Atanda emphasized that the Bwari station meets strict safety and environmental standards in line with regulatory requirements and global best practices.

The company’s retail strategy focuses on trust, transparency, and quality service, marking the start of sustainable growth in Nigeria’s downstream sector.
