A fresh wave of missile s from Iran sparked multiple explosions across Tel Aviv on Friday, intensifying tensions in the Middle East as emergency crews rushed to contain fires and assess damage in residential areas.

According to reports from journalists on the ground, two near simultaneous waves of explosions echoed across the city after missiles were launched toward central Israel. The followed Israel’s decision to expand its military campaign against the Iran backed militant group Hezbollah.

Iran’s state broadcaster confirmed that missiles were fired toward targets in the heart of Tel Aviv. The strike came after the ing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, an event that has dramatically escalated tensions across the region.

The Israel Defense Forces reported that its air defense systems were actively working to intercept incoming Iranian missiles late Thursday night. Several projectiles were reportedly intercepted before reaching major population centers, although falling debris caused damage in parts of the city.

In nearby Netanya, located north of Tel Aviv along Israel’s Mediterranean coast, residents also witnessed rocket trails lighting up the night sky as air defense systems engaged incoming threats.

Emergency responders from Magen David Adom visited several reported impact sites across central Israel following the barrage. Fortunately, officials confirmed that no casualties were recorded despite damage to buildings and infrastructure.

One projectile struck a building on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, forcing residents to evacuate as authorities secured the area. At another residential location near Israel’s economic hub, firefighters battled flames caused by falling debris after an intercepted missile exploded in the air.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Home Front Command issued multiple rocket warning alerts early Friday for communities located near the Lebanon Israel border as the situation remains highly volatile.
