Legendary gospel singer Goke Bajowa has settled his copyright dispute with fellow musician Boye Best following a reconciliation held during Boye Best’s album launch in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The reconciliation took place on Wednesday evening at the event, just days after Bajowa had threatened legal action over the alleged unauthorized use of his evergreen song Iwo Ko Lodami in promotional materials for Boye Best’s album launch. Bajowa had claimed that the promo video gave the impression that Boye Best owned the song.

In response to the allegations, Boye Best had earlier denied any wrongdoing, explaining in a video shared on his Instagram page that the promotional content in question was created by a lounge manager without his knowledge or approval.

However, tensions eased when both artists appeared together at the album launch event, where they publicly reconciled and performed together on stage. A video circulating on Instagram showed the two musicians embracing, signaling an end to the dispute.

Speaking during the event, Bajowa described Boye Best as a good person and expressed surprise at the positive feedback he had received about him in recent days. He stated that their meeting had ced his perception and extended goodwill toward the younger artiste.

Bajowa also revealed plans for a future collaboration, noting that both parties would work together on a joint musical project while ensuring proper documentation and rights management.

The event was attended by several notable figures in the entertainment industry, including singers Alayo, KS1 Malaika, and 9ice, as well as actor Adeniyi Johnson, veteran performer Mr Latin, and comedian Dele Omo Woli.

The reconciliation has been widely viewed as a positive step toward unity and proper intellectual property management within the Nigerian gospel and entertainment industry.
