Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with two additional counts of , the Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed. The 32-year-old Ghanaian international has denied raping two women and ually assaulting a third, with a trial now scheduled for November.
Partey is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 13, in connection with the new allegations. Prosecutors authorised the additional charges, bringing the total allegations against the player to seven counts of and one charge of ual assault.
The alleged offences are reported to have occurred between 2021 and 2022 while Partey was a first-team regular at Arsenal. He was initially charged four days after his contract with the London club expired at the end of June last year. Partey previously pleaded not guilty to all earlier charges during his appearance at Southwark Crown Court in September 2025.
Currently playing for Spanish side Villarreal, Partey remains on bail with conditions allowing him to continue his professional football career. He must notify police of any international travel at least 24 hours in advance and avoid contact with the complainants. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, he continues to be a key player for the Ghana national team, which is scheduled to face England in the World Cup group stage in the United States on June 23.
The case has drawn significant attention in both football and legal circles, highlighting the intersection of high-profile sports careers and serious criminal allegations. Partey’s trial, set for November 2, will determine the outcome of the charges against him.
