Disney+ Partners with ‘Money Heist’ Producer Atresmedia for Streaming Agreement

Walt Disney Co. has entered a significant partnership with Spanish media conglomerate Atresmedia to enhance the content offerings on Disney+ in Spain. Announced on September 8, 2025, this agreement will include popular series from Atresmedia, such as “Money Heist” (“Casa de papel”), “Veneno,” and “Gran Hotel.” Disney+ will have co-exclusive rights to a wide range of Atresmedia productions, significantly enriching its Spanish-language library.

This deal follows Disney’s earlier collaboration with the UK’s ITV in July, where both companies agreed to share content on their streaming platforms. Such partnerships indicate Disney+’s strategy to diversify its offerings and appeal to a broader international aunce. The integration of Atresmedia’s acclaimed series is anticipated to strengthen Disney+’s position in Spain’s competitive streaming market, providing subscribers with a more comprehensive selection of local content.
