The concert marked the first time in 20 years that the original lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—reunited on stage. Hosted by Jason Momoa, the event also showcased performances from a stellar lineup of artists, including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Ronnie Wood, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, Yungblud, Papa V/Ghost, and a memorable drum-off featuring Tool’s Danny Carey, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith. This diverse array of talent paid homage to Black Sabbath’s profound impact on the music industry.
The concert was not only a musical celebration but also a charitable endeavor. Proceeds from the event, totaling £140 million, were donated to Acorns Children’s Hoe, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Cure Parkinson’s, reflecting the band’s commitment to giving back to the community that supported them throughout their career.
