Armed police arrested a man suspected of assaulting several individuals with pepper spray at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 3 car park around 8:11 AM. The Metropolitan Police reported that a group of men sprayed multiple victims before fleeing the scene. In response, armed officers quickly apprehended one suspect, who remains in custody as investigations continue to identify others involved.

Victims received medical attention from the London Ambulance Service and were taken to the hospital; fortunately, their injuries are not deemed life-threatening or life-cing. Despite the assault, Terminal 3 remained operational, although traffic disruptions were reported. Passengers were advised to allow extra travel time and to check with airlines for any potential updates.

Commander Peter Stevens of the Metropolitan Police clarified that the incident appears to have stemmed from an argument between individuals who knew one another, rather than being related to terrorism. He emphasized a heightened police presence at Heathrow to ensure public safety and further support the ongoing investigation.

Authorities are actively seeking information regarding the incident and are encouraging anyone with details to contact the police. Investigations are ongoing in an effort to apprehend additional suspects.
