Alex Otti Congratulates Commodore Oji on Promotion to Rear Admiral

Governor Dr Alex Chioma Otti has congratulated Commodore Chinonyerem Emmanuel Oji of Amaoba Ime Oboro in Ikwuano Local Government Area on his elevation to the rank of Rear Admiral in the Nigerian Navy.

Rear Admiral Oji was among 31 senior officers promoted after the Navy Board approved promotions for 127 senior naval personnel on Thursday 27 November 2025. The governor spoke in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information Prince Okey Kanu.

Governor Otti said the promotion is a well earned honour and a reflection of “hard work, professionalism, courage and an unwavering commitment to national service.” He added that Oji’s steady rise is proof of Abia State’s tradition of excellence and will motivate young people to aim high.

The governor praised the Nigerian Navy for following merit in its promotion process and said such actions raise morale and strengthen the nation’s security. He wished Rear Admiral Oji success in his new duties and expressed confidence that he will represent Abia State with distinction at home and abroad. To
