Celtic F.C. forward Kelechi Iheanacho has attributed his side’s dramatic Scottish Premiership triumph to what he described as the “god of soccer” after a remarkable comeback victory over Hearts on Saturday secured the league title in Glasgow.

Celtic came from behind at Celtic Park to defeat Hearts 3-1, sealing their 14th league title in 15 seasons and continuing their dominance in Scottish football.

Iheanacho, who came off the bench during the high intensity encounter, played an important role in lifting Celtic’s ing pressure and came close to scoring when he struck the base of the post. His introduction helped swing momentum in favour of the home side during a tense second half.

Speaking after the match, the Nigerian striker expressed deep emotion over the victory, describing the season as one of the most dramatic of his career.

He said the team had moments where they believed the title might slip away but credited fortune and determination for the eventual turnaround.

The decisive moments came late in the game as Celtic completed their comeback through goals that sealed the victory and sparked celebrations among fans at Celtic Park.

Iheanacho, who has scored eight goals in 22 appearances this season, said the campaign was so eventful that it could be turned into a documentary, noting its intensity, setbacks, and dramatic finish.

He also praised the supporters for their unwavering backing throughout the season, describing the title as a special reward for the club and the city of Glasgow.

Celtic’s latest triumph secured their fifth consecutive league title and their 56th Scottish championship overall, extending their lead in the domestic honours race.

Interim manager Martin O’Neill guided the team through a challenging season to secure the trophy, with attention now shifting to the Scottish Cup as the club targets a possible domestic double.
