Chelsea FC have dismissed head coach Liam Rosenior after just 107 days in charge following a dramatic collapse in form that saw the team lose five consecutive Premier League matches without scoring.

The club confirmed the decision in an official statement, saying it followed a review of recent performances which were judged to have fallen below the required standards for a team competing at the top level.

Chelsea expressed appreciation for Rosenior’s professionalism and effort during his short tenure, noting that he conducted himself with integrity since taking over mid season.

The statement also confirmed that the club remains active in domestic and European competitions, including the FA Cup, despite its poor league form.

Rosenior was appointed in January on a long term contract to replace Enzo Maresca, but his time in charge quickly turned difficult as results deteriorated and the team slipped to seventh in the Premier League table.

During his final stretch, Chelsea suffered defeats to Newcastle United Everton Manchester City Manchester United and Brighton while failing to score in any of those matches, deepening concerns over ing performance and consistency.

Following his departure, Calum McFarlane has been named interim head coach and will lead the team for the remainder of the season, starting with a crucial FA Cup semi final against Leeds United at Wembley.
The club stated that it will begin a review process aimed at identifying a long term managerial solution as part of efforts to restore ility and competitiveness.

Rosenior’s exit continues a pattern of managerial turnover at Stamford Bridge, reflecting ongoing pressure on coaches to deliver immediate results in one of the most demanding environments in European football.

Chelsea now face a critical period as they attempt to salvage their season and secure European qualification while operating under interim leadership.
