Arsenal are set to receive a record financial reward after winning the 2025 2026 Premier League title, ending a 22 year wait to become champions of England once again.
Manager Mikel Arteta guided the Gunners to glory after rivals Manchester City dropped crucial points earlier in the week, allowing Arsenal to seal the title with one game remaining.
The triumph sparked massive celebrations across north London, with reports indicating that players and supporters celebrated late into the night following the historic achievement. Some Arsenal stars were reportedly seen leaving the Emirates Stadium in the early hours of the morning after the title winning festivities.
Beyond the sporting success, Arsenal are also expected to receive the biggest Premier League payout in the club’s history.
According to reports, the Premier League distributes central revenue payments based on final league positions through a merit based system. The champions receive the highest share, while payments gradually reduce down the table.
Last season, each league position in the Premier League was reportedly worth around £2.6 million. Liverpool F.C., who won the title then, received more than £53 million in merit payments, while bottom placed Southampton F.C. earned approximately £2.6 million.
With Arsenal crowned champions this season, the North London club are expected to receive a similar amount, in addition to major commercial, sponsorship, and broadcasting revenues generated from their successful campaign.
The title marks a major milestone for Arteta, who has transformed Arsenal into one of Europe’s strongest teams after years of rebuilding. Before this triumph, the club had finished second in three consecutive Premier League seasons.
It is also Arsenal’s first league title since the famous “Invincibles” campaign of 2003 2004, when the club went unbeaten throughout the season.
Arsenal will conclude their title winning campaign with an away fixture against Crystal Palace F.C. at Selhurst Park, where the new champions are expected to receive a guard of honour before captain Martin Ødegaard lifts the Premier League trophy.
