Nigerian comedian Jolomi Rapheal Oluwafemi, known professionally as Rapindady, has publicly called out content creator Mr Remote for allegedly cutting off communication after achieving success. The MC made the claims during a recent interview that has since circulated on social media platforms.
According to Rapindady, Remote lived in his three-bedroom apartment for several months when he faced accommodation challenges. The two even collaborated on comedy skits during that period. “He stayed in my place at one point,” Rapindady said in the interview. “I can’t remember how many months he spent in my house when he had accommodation issues at the time.”
The relationship reportedly soured after Remote relocated to Lagos following his breakthrough. Rapindady claims his former friend stopped answering his calls, with Remote consistently claiming he was on set. That was five years ago. “I just want to believe that fame has gotten to him,” the comedian stated, challenging Remote to publicly address what went wrong between them.
Rapindady insists he’s not alone in feeling abandoned. He claims several others who supported Remote during his struggling days have similar complaints, suggesting a pattern of behaviour that raises questions about loyalty in Nigeria’s competitive content creation industry.
