Olakunle Churchill has stated that there is no legally recognized marriage between him and his wife, Rosy Meurer, amid circulating reports of marital crisis and alleged divorce proceedings.
The businessman, who was previously married to actress Tonto Dikeh, reacted on social media following claims that Meurer had filed for divorce after reports of his reconciliation with his ex wife, who is now said to be an evangelist.
In a series of posts on Instagram, Churchill dismissed the divorce narrative as false and insisted that no formal marriage existed that would require any legal dissolution.
He explained that what took place between him and Meurer was only an introduction ceremony and not a legally binding union under either customary, church, or court marriage systems.
According to him, the idea of a divorce being circulated online is baseless and misleading, stressing that there was never any official marriage registration or formal wedding ceremony.
Churchill further questioned the authenticity of the reported divorce documents, stating that he was never served any legal papers and therefore had no knowledge of any official court process.
He also raised concerns about the legal procedures being referenced, suggesting that due process may not have been properly followed before the documents were made public.
The businessman criticized what he described as misinformation being spread by individuals without proper media or legal understanding, adding that such claims were damaging and inaccurate.
He maintained that any legitimate legal proceeding would require proper notification to all involved parties, which he says did not happen in this case.
The development adds another layer to the ongoing public attention surrounding the personal lives of the individuals involved, especially given Churchill’s past marriage to Tonto Dikeh and his subsequent relationship with Rosy Meurer.
