Onigbongbo LCDA Chairman Reaffirms Commitment to Women Leadership and Private Sector Collaboration

The Moyosore Adebanjo, Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to women’s leadership, highlighting that the recently inaugurated Executive Council includes 35 percent female representation.

Adebanjo emphasized that strong economies are not built by government alone but through active partnership with the private sector, calling for collaboration to drive economic growth and community development.

The remarks were made at the maiden edition of the Chairman’s Business Exce titled “Give to Gain,” an event that convened business leaders, policymakers, and representatives of the organised private sector. The event also marked the celebration of International Women’s Day 2026.

Held at The Grandeur Event Centre Oregun Ikeja, the gathering included notable attendees such as the Special Adviser to the Governor on SDGs, Dr Oreoluwa Finnih-Awokoya; the Special Adviser on Taxation and Revenue, Abdul Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo; and the Special Adviser on Climate Ce and Circular Economy, alongside representatives from the business community.

“Strong economies are not built by government alone. They are built through partnership. When government and enterprise work together, development moves faster and prosperity becomes shared,” Adebanjo said.

He also announced the elishment of a Public Private Partnership Desk within the Office of the Chairman to facilitate collaboration between businesses and the LCDA, aiming to strengthen initiatives for sustainable growth and community empowerment.

The event reinforced the administration’s vision of inclusive governance, women’s leadership, and active engagement with the private sector as key drivers of local development.
